Maybe you could flesh it out a little before asking for feedback? There's nothing there at the moment apart from "18 gods, two of each alignment". Where are the names, the descriptions, all the juicy info? ![]() |

Here's a suggestion for a set of 3 farmer gods and 1 outsider orc god: Leib - Neutral good, goddess of farming, fertility and rebirth. Married to the rain god Toirna who helps her crops grow. Farmers celebrate the spring festival in her honour. Worshipped by most farmers. Bruma - True neutral, god of death, earth and the harvest, and Leib's twin brother. There can be no harvest without the reaper, there can be no life without death. The harvest festival is celebrated in his honour, and is also a time to show respect to the ancestors who reside in his earth until they can be reborn. Worshipped by most farmers. Toirna - Chaotic neutral, god of thunder, rain, fire and jealousy. Married to Leib. Gave the gift of fire and helps the crops grow, but sometimes, when he suspects his wife Leib has been unfaithful to him, they argue and he shows his destructive side by setting fire to houses with his lightning, as well as causing floods. Sometimes he goes away and sulks, and the land suffers terrible draughts. Worshipped by most farmers. Gruth - Chaotic evil, god of destruction, lust, deceit and violent death. Toirna's older brother who lusts for Leib but can never have her, he is jealous of his younger brother Toirna and tells him lies to feed the fire when Toirna is arguing with his wife. Gruth also hates his fellow death god Bruma for being "weak", and thinks he himself should be the only death god. Worshipped by the roaming war bands and, in secret, by a small sect of orc farmers who believe it was wrong to give up their elder death god. |

Very very nice! I am going to use them. It might look like the pantheon is going to be expanded eventually. Here is my ideas in addition to those: Good and neutral deities so far God of farming, hunting, trade, family Goddess of valour, rulership, justice, honour God of the forge, protection, strategy Goddess of the sun, redemption, honesty healing Goddess of beauty, art, love, music Goddess of dreams, stars, travel, luck God of freedom, ale, wine, bravery God of cities, wealth, merchant, law God of history, knowledge, self-preservation Deity of nature, weather, the sea Goodness of fate, death, prophecy, birth God of magic God of strength, battle, weapons Goddess of trickery, lust, revenge God of food, wine, beer and harvest Evil deities God of tyranny, slavery, pride, contracts God of envy, pain, darkness, loss Goddess of gluttony, disease, undeath God of greed, secrets, poison, murder Goddess of madness, monsters, nightmares God of wrath, disaster, destruction Greater deities God of war God of disease God of death God and godess of love God of healing God of hatred God of nature God of below God of magic God of trickery God of storms God of undeath Outsider/not belonging in the pantheon This trio is worshipped by the elves. God/demon of corruption, brother/sister of gods/demons of lies and hatred. God/demon of hatred, brother/sister of gods/demons of corruption and lies. God/demon of lies, brother/sister of gods/demons of corruption and hatred. Every greater deity have many subordinates which helps them with tasks. Many of the lesser and greater deities have shared domains of power, allthough the greater deities are the chief holders of the domains. |

"God of farming, hunting, trade, family" Personally I don't think I'd have one god for all those things, since they are not really related. Why would a hunting god be involved in farming? I also wouldn't have a god of magic, contracts etc. - but then, it's not really up to me.. |

What's normal in RPG worlds is that a deity have multiple things in their portfolio. I agree though, these were just suggestion, and they can be changed. God of magic is necessary otherwise there is no magic, and in addition he/she (not decided on gender yet) keeps control of magic, and limiting it, preventing people to destroy deities, the world, and similar. And god of contract isn't necessary a god from the beginning, it could be a demon achieving godhood, therefore taking the portfolio contracts. I am thinking of tweaking, adding, removing the deities to make them more in line. So far there hasn't been a deity death by the other hand of another deity, or a deity death at all. I haven't added god of dragons and couple of other things yet. I really appreciate the feedback. Added: I was thinking of what you were saying, and allthough deities share domains, it's not too common for them to share portfolio, so what I have to do, is to make more deities that belongs to for example farming, and add portfolio for them. It's common to have multiple deities that belong into the same branch of things, like deities farmers worships. So next on list, streamline the deities, make them more sensible, add more for different purposes. |

*nodnod* You have gods of love in your list, maybe it would make sense to make the fertility goddess and her jealous husband the god and goddess of love? Love and fertility (sex) makes sense...also jealousy as a negative aspect of love? |

New update: I'm changing seasons to be more "normal" seasons, that is 1/4th of the year of each seasons. Each of the seasons have just as in northern Europe, changes of weather and temperature, from very cold with snow in winter to fairly warm with sun and rain in the summer. I made some small mistakes in things when it comes to technology and similar, so next adventure is going to fix that, and hopefully I don't make stuff I really don't want in my world. |
