Whoa, so they used to publish EQ1 novels!

I wonder why they never bothered with EQ2...

I also wonder if you can still buy the EQ1 novels, or if ebay/second hand stores would be the only option.

From the Wikipedia article on EverQuest (which I should have thought of checking in the first place):
Quote:
A line of novels have been published in the world of Everquest, including:

* Rogue's Hour, by Scott Ciencin (October 2004)
* Ocean of Tears, by Stewart Wieck (October 2005)
* Truth and Steel, by Thomas M. Reid (September 2006)
* The Blood Red Harp, by Elaine Cunningham (October 2006)
So EQ1 novels have been published even long after EQ2 came out!
It can't have been low sales of those preventing them from publishing any EQ2 novels then?

Still available on Amazon - along with a bunch of the roleplaying books.
Am I the only one here who thinks someone did a terrible job when they added the title and Everquest logo to the Blood and Steel cover?
Big black boxes slapped on top of that lovely painting? One of those yellow sticky notes would have been so much better...
Still, I am tempted to buy these and some of the roleplaying books too.

There is this thing too, which is also about EQ2 and (yuck) LoN
(and aparently is not as amazing as it should have been):

I haven't picked up any of the EQ1 novels yet, but I did buy some of the EQ1 pen&paper roleplaying books from ebay. Not that I have anyone to play with...but they were rather cheap and I like looking at the drawings and reading the background info.

I also found an Everquest comic book on ebay which I bought, but it hasn't arrived yet.

EQ1 comic book! There's another one too, which I'm hoping to get soon.
